I’m Emma

I'm a lifestyle and wedding photographer, and have been capturing photos for over 10 years.

I founded The August Photo Company with the belief that every love is worthy of being captured in all of its seasons. I'm deeply passionate about finding beauty in the little things and savouring the slow moments.

I used to think I wanted to be a writer. I completed my Journalism degree all the while knowing my heart was in photography. It’s a dream to fill my days with celebrations of love, big and small, capturing your family’s memories and creating branding work with you.

I value my friends and family over everything. I believe the most important thing you can be is kind. Love is love! Being surrounded by creative energy is my happy place.

My sister, best friend and second shooter. If you've booked with me before, you've probably met Maddi!

When you add a second shooter to your package, she joins us on your wedding day. She brings calm energy, good humour and a keen eye to our session!

Many years ago (deep in my tumblr days), I stumbled upon the phrase "to be in August company."

It means to be in good company - rare even - and I felt it was the perfect way to describe how I feel about you; my clients & friends.

I feel so incredibly grateful to be a small part of your celebrations, to be able to give you tangible memories and to capture wherever life and adventure take you.
